Carpenter / Trim Carpenter

Location: West Chicago, IL

Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00

About the Role

We’re seeking skilled and dependable Carpenters and Trim Carpenters to join our Midway Staffing team. These roles are responsible for building, assembling, and installing custom retail displays, fixtures, and detailed trim work with precision and high-quality craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have hands-on carpentry experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials and measurements

• Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood and other materials for project completion

• Install trim components including baseboards, crown molding, box molding, panel molding, and other detailed woodwork (Trim Carpenter duties)

• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other carpentry equipment

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and proper fit

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety procedures

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and deadlines

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience: 1–3 years in carpentry, woodworking, or related field (Trim experience preferred for Trim Carpenter roles)

Technical Skills:

• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately

• Proficient with hand and power tools

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

• Must have own carpentry tools
