2nd Shift Welder

Position: 2nd Shift MIG/TIG Welder
Location: Kenosha, WI

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Pay Rate:

• $23.50 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our team specializing in metal fabrication and radiator assembly. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on welding experience, a strong understanding of fabrication processes, and the ability to produce high-quality welds with precision and consistency. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to interpret blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Welding & Fabrication:

• Set up and operate MIG and TIG welding equipment for sheet metal, stainless steel, aluminum, and radiator components.

• Perform seam, tack, and structural welds ensuring strength, accuracy, and visual quality.

• Interpret blueprints, layouts, and fabrication drawings to complete assemblies to exact specifications.

• Pass internal certification tests for both MIG and TIG welding processes.

Quality & Accuracy:

• Maintain tight tolerances using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Inspect welds for penetration, alignment, and finish quality to meet production and safety standards.

• Ensure all work meets dimensional and quality control requirements.

Operational Support:

• Assist in equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Support radiator assembly and repair processes as needed.

• Accurately complete move tickets, scrap reports, and inventory documentation.

Teamwork & Safety:

• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to meet daily goals.

• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.

• Maintain a positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience, preferably in metal fabrication or radiator manufacturing.

• Advanced welding certification or technical degree preferred.

• Strong knowledge of heat settings, weld sequencing, and material control factors.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Skilled in dimensional measuring, layout work, and basic math calculations.

• Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
