Inventory Control Lead
Summary:
Midway Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Lead to support warehouse operations at our Garland, TX facility. The Inventory Lead is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, assisting with cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies to ensure smooth order fulfillment. This role supports daily warehouse functions, provides guidance to team members, and promotes a safe, efficient, and organized work environment. Ideal candidates will have previous inventory control experience and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced distribution setting.
Location: Garland, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate:
Duties:

Assist with the development and maintenance of inventory control systems to support warehouse operations.

Manage and monitor cycle counts, physical inventories, and recoup/repack/recycle programs.

Track inbound and outbound shipments, finished goods, and packaging materials.

Research and resolve inventory discrepancies and maintain accurate transaction records.

Generate, organize, and file daily, weekly, and monthly KPI and performance reports.

Provide floor support to warehouse leads and team members regarding inventory issues.

Collaborate with warehouse and office staff to ensure 100% customer satisfaction for all shipments and receipts.

Operate warehouse equipment as needed (forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, order picker, pallet jack, etc.).

Support the supervisor in performance management and employee development.

Follow all company safety policies and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

Perform other related duties as assigned to meet operational goals.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required; or 2+ years of equivalent experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, wave planning, or warehouse operations.

Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.

Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.

Experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, etc.).

Strong attention to detail, organization, and sense of urgency.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows; ability to learn and use customer systems.

Must be able to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Physically capable of lifting 5–75 lbs, standing/walking for long periods, and working in varying temperatures.

Regular attendance and punctuality required; overtime may be needed.
