Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: St. Louis, MO 
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team at our St. Louis facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of material handling and packing equipment to ensure efficient inbound and outbound processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate various forklifts and sophisticated packing machines to meet production and shipping schedules.

• Load and unload materials as part of a team.

• Move materials packed on pallets or in crates throughout the storage facility.

• Accurately pick, pack, check, and load/unload products to and from designated areas and trailers.

• Stack loads correctly in storage bays following inventory control guidelines.

• Inspect machinery regularly and report maintenance needs or safety concerns.

• Maintain accurate documentation and production records.

• Follow company policies and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED (required)

• Minimum 1 year of related warehouse or forklift experience

• RF scanner experience preferred

• OSHA forklift certification or equivalent operating experience preferred

Essential Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills

• Proficient in basic math

• Excellent problem-solving skills and work ethic

• Ability to take direction from multiple supervisors

• Highly organized with strong time-management skills

• Able to meet deadlines and perform in a fast-paced environment

• Willing to be cross-trained in multiple roles

• Willingness to work overtime when needed
