Maintenance Technician – 

Location: Newberry MT | Athens, GA
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 (paid after 90 days)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday + Overtime/On-Call

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join the Newberry MT property team in Athens, GA. This is a direct hire opportunity offering stable, full-time employment with great benefits and a sign-on bonus.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in maintenance—especially within multifamily or student housing—but we’re open to training the right person with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential units and property facilities.

• Respond to work orders and resolve maintenance requests promptly and professionally.

• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs as needed.

• Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of the property.

• Participate in an on-call rotation and handle emergency maintenance requests.

Requirements

• Prior maintenance experience preferred (multifamily or student housing a plus).

• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Must be able to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations.

Compensation & Benefits

• $20.00 per hour
