Location: West Chicago, IL

Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay Rate: $18.00–$26.00 per hour

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Tile Worker to join our Midway Staffing team. This role is responsible for installing floor and wall tile with precision, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in a production or construction environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience with various tile materials and cutting tools, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install ceramic, porcelain, and other tile types on floors and walls.

• Cut, shape, and smooth tile using proper tools such as wet saws, grinders, and manual cutters.

• Prepare installation surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or underlayment.

• Measure and mark surfaces for layout, ensuring clean lines and accurate placement.

• Apply grout, sealant, and finishing materials to complete installations.

• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy.

• Maintain tools and work area, following all safety guidelines.

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience installing both floor and wall tile.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in tile cutting and installation techniques.

  • Ability to read measurements accurately and follow layout instructions.

  • Familiarity with tile adhesives, grout application, and surface preparation.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.

• Additional: Strong attention to detail, reliable transportation, and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
