Job Overview
Midway Staffing is hiring a Culinary Operations Lead for a large-scale food production environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can support daily kitchen operations, uphold food safety standards, and help ensure consistent product quality. The Culinary Operations Lead works closely with supervisory staff and production teams to maintain efficiency, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
Location: Brooklyn NY
Pay: $20-$22/hr
Key Responsibilities

Oversee proper inventory handling, including stock rotation and freshness control

Identify workflow issues, safety concerns, or equipment problems and communicate them promptly

Assist leadership with production tracking, batch records, and shift documentation

Ensure kitchen equipment is used correctly and report maintenance needs as they arise

Promote teamwork and professionalism on the floor, helping resolve minor issues when needed

Participate in food safety checks, audits, and compliance reviews, supporting corrective actions
Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, food manufacturing, or high-volume production setting

Working knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation, and kitchen best practices

Ability to stay organized and perform well in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Reliable, adaptable, and able to work flexible schedules including weekends or holidays

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Food Handler Certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days
