NOW HIRING: 1st Shift Order Selector – Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ)

Shift: Sunday–Thursday | 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM
Location: Carol Stream IL

 

Position Overview

The Order Selector is responsible for safely operating an electric pallet jack or forklift to select, label, palletize, and stage products for customer orders. This role requires working from 8:00 PM until end-of-shift, with full accuracy and productivity.

You will work across multiple warehouse temperature zones (dry, cooler, and freezer). Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet customer demand.

 

Responsibilities

• Hand-select orders in dry, cooler, and freezer environments.

• Operate the Sysco Order Selection (SOS) unit to print and place correct labels.

• Stack product on pallets using proper procedures (labels out, stable stacking, etc.).

• Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport pallets safely.

• Stage completed pallets in the correct dock locations.

• Follow SyscoSafe preferred work methods; report unsafe conditions immediately.

• Maintain sanitation standards per company and AIB requirements.

• Safely operate and inspect all assigned equipment (EPJ, SOS unit, PPE).

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.

• Shrink-wrap pallets at the loading dock.

• Attend required meetings.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old

• Must pass drug screen, background check, and Physical Abilities Test

• Able to communicate effectively, read labels, and follow safety instructions

• Able to meet performance production metrics (cases per hour, accuracy, etc.)
