Job Summary
The Order Selector is responsible for accurately selecting, assembling, and preparing customer orders for delivery to restaurants, and other foodservice customers. This position requires working in a fast-paced distribution environment while maintaining strict accuracy, quality, and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Select customer orders using voice-pick systems, RF scanners, or pick tickets
- Accurately pick cases of food products from dry, refrigerated, and freezer areas
- Stack, wrap, and label pallets to meet delivery and safety standards
- Verify product codes, quantities, and expiration dates
- Build stable pallets for safe transportation
- Operate warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jacks (walkie riders)
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and warehouse safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Meet productivity, accuracy, and quality performance standards
- Report damaged product, shortages, or discrepancies to leadership
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous foodservice, warehouse, or order selecting experience preferred (training provided)
- Ability to read labels, pick locations, and voice instructions
- Basic math and counting skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move up to [50–90] lbs. repeatedly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in cold and freezer environments for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Foodservice distribution warehouse (dry, refrigerated, and freezer zones)
- Temperature ranges may vary from ambient to sub-zero
- Fast-paced, performance-based setting
- Pay Rate: $19.00
- Performance incentives are be available
