Forklift Operator I
 Location: Madison WI
 Pay: $23/hr
 Schedule: 2nd Shift 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
 Hours: 40 per week + OT as needed
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator I to join our Midway Staffing team. This role involves operating a variety of powered industrial vehicles (PIVs) to move, stage, and manage products while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with company standards.
Types of Equipment Used:

• Cherry Pickers (up to ~35’)
• Stand-up Forklifts
• Walkie/Riders
• Sit-down Forklifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound shipments.
• Safely move, stack, and stage products using forklifts or other power equipment.
• Execute ERP system transactions for shipments.
• Use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Handle hazardous materials in compliance with safety standards.
• Follow 5S safety and housekeeping practices.
• Complete all required safety training and use PPE correctly.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks.
• Assist with receiving and loading activities as needed.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Basic math skills.

Preferred Requirements:

• Proficiency in operating various forklifts and warehouse equipment (stand-up reach, sit-down order picker, pallet jack).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and forklift operating procedures.
• Experience using RF equipment for transporting, receiving, and loading functions.
• Certification in forklift operation is a plus (not required if experienced).
