Fabrication Lead

Oversee and execute daily fabrication operations, leading production teams to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Ensure proper staffing, workflow coordination, and material readiness while supporting hands-on fabrication activities including welding, CNC laser operations, press brake, and tube bending. Collaborate with supervisors and management to maintain compliance, resolve issues, and achieve production goals.

Location: Mesquite, TX
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM
Pay rate: $19
 

Duties:

• Lead and direct the fabrication team in production, assembly, and testing of manufactured parts.
• Collaborate with operators to inspect materials and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Complete and submit all production documentation to the Supervisor at the end of each shift.
• Ensure efficient use of workspace and confirm required materials are available in designated areas at the appropriate times.
• Assist in all aspects of fabrication, including CNC laser operations, press brake, hydraulic tube bending systems, and welding.
• Prepare work activities by gathering necessary parts, tools, and materials for current jobs.
• Troubleshoot equipment or process malfunctions and submit repair requests as needed.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company standards.
• Support equipment changeovers as required.
• Provide assistance in other work areas during staff absences or shortages.
   

• Strong team leadership and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of proper welding procedures.
• Proficiency in using calipers, tape measures, and digital angle finders.
• Strong mathematical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
   

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a lead role.
• 2+ years of welding experience; certification or license preferred.
• Forklift operation experience required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
