1st Shift Inventory Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist / Materials Lead to take a lead role in managing inventory and materials within a warehouse or production environment. This position goes beyond traditional inventory work and focuses on ensuring materials are accurately tracked, organized, and distributed to support production needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of leading inventory functions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 5 am - 1:30 pm OT as needed

Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour

Duties:

• Oversee daily inventory control and material flow to production

• Lead material handling processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment as needed

• Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or digital systems

• Coordinate with purchasing, production, and shipping/receiving teams

• Conduct cycle counts, audits, and resolve inventory discrepancies

• Train and guide team members on inventory procedures and best practices

• Ensure workplace safety and proper material storage practices

Requirements:

• Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse, or materials handling

• Lead or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong organizational and leadership skills

• Familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office

• Ability to operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment (preferred, not required)

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in supply chain or logistics is a plus
