Heavy Assembler III – 2nd Shift
Shift: Monday – Thursday | 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Experience Required: 6–9 years

Job Summary
The Heavy Assembler III is a senior-level role responsible for assembling, integrating, and troubleshooting highly complex mechanical systems and large-scale assemblies. This position requires advanced technical expertise, independent decision-making, and the ability to mentor junior assemblers while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble and integrate complex, large-scale mechanical systems, subassemblies, and final assemblies using detailed blueprints, schematics, and engineering documentation.

Interpret advanced technical drawings, GD&T, torque specifications, and bills of materials.

Perform complex mechanical alignments, calibrations, and precision fits.

Troubleshoot assembly issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Lead or support complex build sequences and special projects.

Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure assemblies meet engineering and quality standards.

Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Heavy Assembler I & II team members.

Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve design or process issues.

Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, safety, and product quality.

Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures, quality systems, and production schedules.

Accurately complete advanced documentation, deviation reports, and production records.

Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
Qualifications

6–9 years of hands-on experience in heavy or complex mechanical assembly.

Advanced mechanical aptitude with proven experience assembling large, precision, or high-tolerance components.

Expert ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, torque tools, precision measuring instruments, and alignment equipment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound technical decisions.

Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with or without assistance).

Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, and reach for extended periods.

Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment with heavy equipment
