Press Brake Operator – 1st Shift
Shift: Monday – Friday | 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to specifications. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate press brake machines to form metal parts per blueprints and work orders.

Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and bend specifications.

Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met.

Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and angle gauges.

Make machine adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.

Identify and report equipment, material, or quality issues.

Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety standards.

Follow all company policies, procedures, and production schedules.
Qualifications

Previous press brake or metal fabrication experience required.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Experience working with various metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.

Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Skills
-
CNC press brake experience.

Knowledge of bend allowances and material thickness calculations.

Experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
