Material Handler

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for safely moving materials, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting daily operational needs using forklifts and warehouse systems.

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Location: North Chicago, IL
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $18hr + DOE
 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts safely to move raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials
• Load, unload, and transport materials within the facility
• Use RF scanners to track inventory and material movement
• Stage materials for production and shipping
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse standards

Qualification Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum 2 years of sit-down forklift experience required
• RF scanner experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
