Press Operator

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Press Operator to support manufacturing operations. This is an entry-level opportunity, but experienced operators who can run multiple presses, work independently, and take ownership of their work are strongly encouraged to apply. This role is temp-to-hire, with the opportunity to convert to a permanent position and become eligible for company benefits based on performance and fit.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 6am-230pm
Location: Lake Forest, IL
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate press equipment according to job specifications and instructions
• Complete all required production paperwork accurately and timely
• Obtain required forms, specifications, and instructions from Quality Control
• Perform in-process inspections as required
• Use vernier calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions
• Maintain accurate part counts and timekeeping for each job
• Follow packaging and labeling instructions per shop papers or work instructions
• Report press, die, or equipment issues to supervision
• Report actual or potential quality issues to Quality Control or Supervisor

Skills & Competencies:

• Ability to read and follow work instructions
• Experience using vernier calipers and micrometers
• Basic math skills
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management and accountability

Qualification Requirements:

• Entry-level candidates welcome; manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to operate or learn multiple presses
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial environment
• Willingness to get dirty and perform physical tasks 
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable attendance and good work record required
