1st Shift TIG Welder
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $18–$24/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled 1st Shift TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role requires precision, consistency, and a strong understanding of TIG welding techniques to produce high-quality welds across a variety of materials. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Welding & Fabrication

Set up and operate TIG welding equipment; successfully pass required welding certification tests

Produce consistent, high-quality seam and tack welds

Weld lightweight to heavyweight assemblies using blueprints, layouts, sketches, or templates
Quality Control

Maintain close tolerances by properly setting tools, gauges, and stops

Inspect work using scales, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools

Ensure all welds meet quality and dimensional specifications
Operational Support

Assist with the maintenance and care of tools and welding equipment

Support upstream and downstream operations to maintain smooth workflow

Accurately complete move tickets, scrap tickets, and stock movement documentation
Additional Duties

Perform other tasks as assigned to meet production and operational goals
Qualifications & Requirements

Advanced welding certification or degree preferred

Minimum 2+ years of TIG welding experience, particularly with sheet metal

Strong understanding of welding control factors (heat settings, speeds, and material behavior)

Experience welding sheet metal, mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts

Proficient in dimensional measurement, basic math, and the use of calipers and micrometers

Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and strong attendance record
