1st Shift TIG Welder

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $18–$24/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled 1st Shift TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role requires precision, consistency, and a strong understanding of TIG welding techniques to produce high-quality welds across a variety of materials. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

Welding & Fabrication

• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment; successfully pass required welding certification tests

• Produce consistent, high-quality seam and tack welds

• Weld lightweight to heavyweight assemblies using blueprints, layouts, sketches, or templates

Quality Control

• Maintain close tolerances by properly setting tools, gauges, and stops

• Inspect work using scales, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools

• Ensure all welds meet quality and dimensional specifications

Operational Support

• Assist with the maintenance and care of tools and welding equipment

• Support upstream and downstream operations to maintain smooth workflow

• Accurately complete move tickets, scrap tickets, and stock movement documentation

Additional Duties

• Perform other tasks as assigned to meet production and operational goals

Qualifications & Requirements

• Advanced welding certification or degree preferred

• Minimum 2+ years of TIG welding experience, particularly with sheet metal

• Strong understanding of welding control factors (heat settings, speeds, and material behavior)

• Experience welding sheet metal, mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts

• Proficient in dimensional measurement, basic math, and the use of calipers and micrometers

• Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and strong attendance record
