Recycling Production & Shipping Technician

Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a safety-focused and detail-oriented Recycling Production & Shipping Technician to support battery processing and recycling operations. This role plays a critical part in safely preparing batteries for shredding, operating recycling equipment, and ensuring materials are processed efficiently and compliantly.
In addition to production responsibilities, this position will support shipping and logistics operations to help maintain smooth and organized material flow.
Primary Duties & Key Responsibilities
Production & Equipment Operations

Use band saws and skill saws to prepare batteries for shredding

Operate shredders and recycling equipment to extract recyclable materials

Load and monitor shredders while sorting processed output

Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe, compliant operations

Follow all production SOPs while meeting quality standards and output goals

Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready production area
Shipping & Logistics Support

Create and maintain shipping paperwork, including labels, spreadsheets, and required documentation

Navigate and update records within the Alfred CMMS portal
-
Follow all shipping and safety protocols

Organize and maintain shipping inventory
-
Operate a forklift to stage and load outbound trucks

Coordinate with the Battery Service Center to schedule shipments
Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Up to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, recycling, or a related field

Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
-
Forklift experience preferred
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Clear communication skills with a team-first mindset
-
Basic computer skills for data entry and tracking
-
Ability to pass a required medical evaluation and PAPR (respirator) fit test
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position requires working in a production environment while wearing required PPE, including:

Safety glasses

Steel or composite toe footwear

Tyvek suits
-
PAPR respirator
A medical evaluation and respirator fit test are required.
Physical Requirements

Lift up to 65 lbs independently and up to 137 lbs with team assistance

Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, and lifting

Strong hand and finger dexterity

Good hand-eye coordination
-
Physical stamina and mental focus to safely meet production timelines
