Pay: $18.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: North Las Vegas, 89032

Position Overview
We are seeking a Battery Maintenance Technician I to support a growing battery production and refurbishment operation. This role is responsible for performing battery disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing processes to ensure optimal battery performance and safety.
This is a hands-on position in a manufacturing/warehouse environment and is ideal for candidates with mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
Key Responsibilities

Learn and apply battery maintenance principles and safety practices

Assist with disassembling and reassembling batteries and battery packs

Inspect electrical connections, components, and wiring

Use electrical test equipment to verify battery functionality

Perform basic diagnostics to identify battery failures

Replace faulty components and fusing parts

Remove and properly handle battery fluids

Package and prepare battery components for shipping

Support repair and refurbishment of vehicle batteries for reuse

Accurately update maintenance and production data in internal systems

Follow quality management procedures and safety protocols at all times

Wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment

Complete additional tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
-
Up to 2 years of related mechanical, automotive, production, or technical experience

Experience using hand and power tools

Basic computer skills (data entry, email, database systems)

Ability to read and follow written instructions

Strong attention to detail and safety focus

Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications

Technical or automotive certification/degree
-
Experience in EV battery, automotive, or manufacturing industries
Work Environment
-
Manufacturing/warehouse environment (may or may not be climate-controlled)

No regular travel required
Physical Requirements
-
Lift up to 50 lbs individually
-
In certain work areas, lift up to 65 lbs individually and up to 137 lbs with team assistance

Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping

Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
-
Ability to safely use hand and power tools

Must wear required PPE (safety glasses, safety vest, hearing protection, safety footwear, and additional PPE as required)
