Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist
Pay Rate - $21.54
Position Summary
The Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist facilitates and manages the transportation process of customer vehicles within an assigned region. This role ensures accurate coordination between pickup locations, carriers, clients, and internal teams while maintaining strong margin awareness and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Make real-time outbound calls (recorded line) to verify vehicle status with pickup sites

Monitor and correct master data files for location errors

Manage multiple location email inboxes and collaborate on regional communications

Request Hold Harmless agreements and releases
-
Process fees and post assessorial charges
-
Enter manual orders and process AS400 system orders
-
Investigate carrier VIN kickbacks and coordinate re-dispatch

Manage escalated Client Success VINs with peers and agents
-
Monitor transportation holds and verification delays
-
Negotiate dispatch with strong sales tactics to increase margin

Update AutoIMS for transport delay holds, cancellations, and ETA changes
-
Follow up daily with carriers on multiple VINs

Hold carriers accountable to agreed transportation plans

Create and manage vendor corrective action plans

Monitor and correct order entry failures throughout the day

Track margin performance relative to position requirements

Build relationships with Manheim Auction commercial teams and management
-
Analyze client and vendor performance metrics

Compile transportation data and generate performance reports for leadership and executives

Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
-
1–3 years of administrative experience (automotive industry preferred)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
-
Ability to work independently within a matrix environment

Excellent customer service and multitasking skills

High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Valid Driver’s License
-
Ability to pass background check and drug test
Preferred Qualifications

Some college education
-
1+ year of experience in transportation or automotive auction environment
-
1+ year of experience in sales or call center environment
