Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sit-Down Cherry Picker & Clamp Truck Operator to join our warehouse team. This role involves safely operating powered industrial equipment—including sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks—to pick, move, stock, and stage inventory. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Material Handling:
Safely operate sit-down forklifts, clamp trucks, and cherry pickers to transport, lift, and store products. - Stocking & Replenishment:
Move inventory to designated racks, bins, or shelves; restock materials as needed. - Safety Compliance:
Perform pre-shift inspections, use all required PPE (harness, tether), and follow OSHA and company safety procedures. - Inventory Control:
Track product movement and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies. - Loading & Unloading:
Assist with loading/unloading trucks and organizing inbound/outbound materials. - General Warehouse Duties:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous forklift, clamp truck, or cherry picker experience required or strongly preferred.
- Certification: Valid OSHA or equipment operator certification preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; frequent bending, reaching, and standing.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Soft Skills: Good communication, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Equipment Used
- Sit-Down Forklift 1-2 years of experience
- Cherry Picker (Order Picker) – requires harness/tether for elevated work
- Clamp Truck – hydraulic clamps for handling non-palletized or palletized goods
