Plant Janitor

We are currently hiring experienced Plant Janitors for a manufacturing facility in Waukegan, IL. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the plant and surrounding grounds in compliance with company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00PM, Monday through Friday
• Some Saturdays may be required

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate an industrial floor scrubber to clean production floors
• Empty trash containers, including dumpsters
• Operate a paper baler
• Perform general cleaning of doors, windows, walls, and common areas
• Use a boom lift to clean overhead/rafter areas
• Clean and maintain machinery as needed
• Perform additional miscellaneous cleaning duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of industrial cleaning experience (manufacturing or plant environment preferred)
• Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated to complete daily, monthly, and yearly tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Comfortable working in an industrial production environment
