2nd Shift Forklift Operator

Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: West Chicago, IL
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift – 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week + overtime as needed

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support warehouse and production operations. This role involves operating powered industrial equipment to move, stage, and transport materials while maintaining accuracy, safety, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely.

• Pick and load products onto trailers according to shipping documentation.

• Unload and stage materials from incoming shipments.

• Transport finished goods from production lines to staging or storage areas.

• Supply materials to production lines as needed.

• Perform quality and safety checks on products and equipment.

• Report safety or quality concerns to supervisors immediately.

• Conduct basic cycle counts and inventory checks when required.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Ability to operate forklifts and similar powered industrial equipment safely.

• Ability to complete forklift certification training and evaluation.

• Basic English communication skills (written and verbal).

• Ability to use warehouse systems, RF scanners, or related equipment.

• Previous forklift experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or sit for long periods.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.

• Exposure to warehouse conditions including dust, odors, and varying temperatures.

• Overtime may be required during peak production periods.
