What You’ll Do:
As a 1st Shift Test Technician, you will perform critical high-potential (Highpot) and electrical testing, ensuring circuits and components meet design specifications and industry standards. You'll complete detailed inspection documentation, set up and operate testing equipment, and maintain and troubleshoot electrical switchgear. Your role also involves managing tools and PPE, maintaining safety standards, and working variable hours, including weekends and holidays, to support operational needs. On-site attendance is essential to collaborate effectively with your team and meet project deadlines.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with switchgear, electrical or mechanical system testing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft 365
- Strong troubleshooting skills with an aptitude for critical decision-making
- Ability to document test data accurately and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Commitment to safety and working in a team environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with industry standards and certifications related to electrical testing
- Familiarity with inventory management of tools, test equipment, and PPE
- Knowledge of industry-specific safety protocols and best practices
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- At least 1 year of relevant testing and troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing or electrical environment
Additional Requirements:
- Capable of working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- On-site presence required to perform testing and troubleshooting tasks effectively
