Job Title: Cook – Meal Prep Kitchen

Location: Burlington, NJ
Pay: $19 - $20/HR
Schedule: 1st Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM & 2nd Shift 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday

Job Overview:

The Cook reports to the Culinary Supervisor and helps prepare meals in a high-volume kitchen. This role supports daily food production by following recipes, food safety standards, and kitchen procedures. The cook may work in different areas of the kitchen such as prep, cooking stations, staging, dish room, and blending stations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals following recipes and daily production schedules

• Maintain food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards

• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, blenders, kettles, and food processors

• Set up workstations with the proper ingredients and tools

• Report equipment issues to supervisors

• Follow food safety rules, GMPs, and company policies

• Label and store food correctly using FIFO/FEFO inventory methods

• Keep work areas clean and sanitized throughout the shift

• Record required logs such as temperature checks and cleaning logs

• Work with team members to keep kitchen operations running smoothly

• Assist with other kitchen duties as needed

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Experience with batch cooking or large food production preferred

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP knowledge preferred)

• ServSafe certification is a plus

• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

• Must be able to pass a background check

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 lbs
