2nd Shift TIG Welder

Expertise:
Pass certification tests for welding equipment setup and operation. Use a TIG welder to consistently produce quality seam and tack welds. Handle lightweight to heavyweight weld assemblies using blueprints, layouts, sketches, or templates.
Quality Control:
Ensure close tolerance by setting tools, gauges, and stops. Use scales, calipers, and measuring tools to verify quality.
Operational Support:
Assist with maintaining tools and equipment. Contribute to upstream and downstream processes to maintain workflow. Accurately manage move tickets, scrap tickets, and stock movements.
Other Duties:
Perform tasks as assigned to meet production goals.
Requirements:
Advanced welding certification or degree (preferred). 2+ years of sheet metal TIG welding experience with a strong understanding of control factors (e.g., heat settings and speeds). Proficiency with sheet metal, mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Ability to read blueprints and lay out work accordingly. Competence in dimensional measuring, simple math, and the use of calipers/micrometers. Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and excellent attendance record.
