Receiving Lead – Cold Storage (3PL)
Mon-Fri: 8am-4:30pm
Pay Rate: $22/hr

Position Summary:
The Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing all inbound operations within a temperature-controlled 3PL warehouse. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant receipt of goods while maintaining product integrity in refrigerated and frozen environments. The Receiving Lead coordinates staff, enforces safety and quality standards, and works cross-functionally with inventory control, operations, and customer service teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily receiving activities, including unloading, inspection, and put-away of inbound shipments

• Ensure all products are received accurately against purchase orders, ASNs, and client requirements

• Monitor product condition, lot codes, expiration dates, and temperature compliance upon receipt

• Lead, train, and coach receiving team members to ensure productivity and accuracy targets are met

• Collaborate with Inventory Control to resolve discrepancies, damages, and shorts

• Ensure timely system transactions in WMS (receipts, holds, adjustments)

• Enforce safety procedures, GMPs, and food safety regulations (FDA/USDA standards where applicable)

• Conduct dock audits and maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving areas

• Communicate inbound issues proactively to operations leadership and customer service teams

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce errors

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of warehouse experience, preferably in 3PL and cold storage environments

• Strong knowledge of WMS systems and RF scanning

• Experience handling perishable food products and understanding of cold chain logistics

• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Work Environment:

• Temperature-controlled warehouse (refrigerated and freezer zones)
• Fast-paced 3PL environment with multiple clients and varying requirements
• Requires flexibility in schedule, including weekends and overtime during peak periods
