Are you dependable, safety-focused, and ready to take on a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment? We’re hiring a Packer/Laborer for an overnight shift in Valparaiso, IN. If you’re comfortable with physical work, operating equipment, and being part of a team that keeps production moving, this is a great opportunity.

Location: Valparaiso, IN
Schedule: Continental Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Pay Rate: $18.50/hour

Job Summary:
As a Packer/Laborer, you will play a key role in supporting production operations by monitoring equipment, packing finished products, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or near misses
Operate and monitor manual and automated production equipment
Pack 55 lb. bags (up to 600 per 12-hour shift)
Assist with production processes including presses, bag filters, and refeed systems
Clean equipment between batches and during product changes
Take and label product samples throughout the process
Ensure proper labeling for product traceability
Accurately complete production and process documentation
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Support supervisors and operators as needed

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly
Frequent lifting and overhead reaching
Constant standing throughout the shift
Ability to climb stairs frequently (up to 3 flights multiple times per day)
Continuous use of arms and hands

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
Mechanical aptitude is a plus
Forklift experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Comfortable working at heights on grated flooring
