Maintenance Technician I

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician I to support reliable operations at our Fairburn site. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, assisting with material handling equipment, and facility repairs to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Location: Fairburn, GA
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (with 1-hour lunch). Once training is complete, the consistent schedule will include a weekend day.
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

Duties:

• Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery within the facility per manufacturer guidelines.

• Visually inspect and test machinery to detect malfunctions; communicate issues to operations staff.

• Diagnose and repair defective machines and equipment using new or repaired parts, following manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

• Set up and break down food processing equipment as required.

• Perform building maintenance repairs and upkeep (plumbing, blocked drains, changing lamps/ballasts, minor remodeling).

• Assist with preventative maintenance/repairs on material handling equipment and battery watering services during downtime.

• Demonstrate proper operation of equipment and tools to ensure safety and OSHA compliance.

• Troubleshoot operational errors and determine the most effective corrective action.

• Maintain tools and maintenance equipment in working order and keep work areas organized.

• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.

• 3 years of experience in facility maintenance or preventative equipment maintenance.

• Knowledge of single and three-phase electricity (AC/DC, high and low voltages).

• Ability to read schematics and coordinate with technical support.

• Strong teamwork, ownership, technical, mechanical, and analytical skills.

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform manual labor; occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.

• Ability to work nights and occasional weekends.

Equipment: Forklift and scissor lift as needed (training provided).
