1st Shift Machine Operators

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Printing Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain printing equipment while ensuring high-quality output and meeting daily production deadlines.

Duties:

• Set up and operate digital and/or offset printing equipment for direct mail jobs, including high-volume and variable data runs
• Review and follow job tickets for specifications (quantities, paper stock, ink, personalization, and deadlines)
• Ensure proper alignment, color consistency, and print quality throughout production
• Monitor equipment performance and make real-time adjustments as needed
• Coordinate with pre-press, data processing, and inserting/finishing teams to maintain workflow
• Verify accuracy of variable data printing (names, addresses, barcodes)
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting of equipment
• Maintain production logs, downtime reports, and job tracking documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area (5S standards)
• Meet or exceed daily production goals while minimizing waste
• Support cross-training in inserting, sorting, and finishing operations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of printing experience preferred (digital, inkjet, or offset)
• Experience in direct mail, lettershop, or high-volume production environment strongly preferred
• Familiarity with variable data printing and mailing processes is a plus
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production schedules
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, with the ability to work overtime including weekends in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
