Are you passionate about ensuring product quality and driven to make a tangible impact in a manufacturing environment? Client is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician II to play a pivotal role in our production process. In this position, you'll support our commitment to superior quality through precise inspection, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help us meet and surpass customer expectations, making a real difference in product excellence and operational efficiency.
What You'll Bring:
- At least 3 years of experience in metal fabrication or a similar industry, preferably within a continuous improvement quality management system (QMS)
- Proficiency in dimensional verification, including PPAP and first article inspection
- Skilled in basic GD&T concepts and effective measurement techniques
- Hands-on experience programming and operating FARO & Micro-Vu measurement equipment
- Strong understanding of calibration procedures in compliance with ISO standards
- Ability to interpret manufacturing documentation and assist with process improvements
- Excellent data analysis and presentation skills related to quality metrics
- Effective communication abilities for team collaboration and training
Nice to Have:
- Certification as a Quality Technician
- Programming experience with FARO and Micro-Vu measurement systems
- Familiarity with internal process audits and root cause analysis
- Experience working in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS
- Knowledge of software tools such as MS Word, Excel, and email platforms
Preferred Education & Experience:
- An associate degree in a related field is highly preferred
- 3+ years of practical inspection experience in manufacturing settings
Additional Requirements:
- This is an onsite role requiring regular physical activity including standing, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and in environments with moderate noise levels
- Valid vision that includes close, distance, peripheral, color, and depth perception
- Willingness to participate in training, meetings, and process audits
- Certifications in quality inspection or measurement programming are advantageous
