FMO Tube Mill - 1st Shift
The FMO Tube Mill Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring tube mill equipment to produce high-quality tubing products that meet customer specifications. This role ensures efficient production, maintains equipment performance, and upholds safety and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Location: Kenosha, WI
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.50/hour
Duties:
- Set up and operate FMO tube mill equipment to produce metal tubing
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
- Load raw materials (coil/steel) and ensure proper alignment and feeding into the mill
- Perform start-up, in-process, and final inspections of tubing products
- Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications
- Identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary machine adjustments
- Perform basic maintenance and assist with tooling changes, roll changes, and setup
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements
- Keep work area clean and organized (5S standards)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of experience operating tube mills, roll forming, or similar machinery preferred
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and machine operations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Basic math skills (measurements, fractions, conversions)
- Experience with welding processes (ERW) is a plus

Work Environment & PPE:
- Manufacturing/industrial setting
- Standing for extended periods
- Lifting up to 50 lbs (materials, tooling, etc.)
- Exposure to moving machinery, noise, heat, and metal materials
