FMO Tube Mill - 1st Shift

The FMO Tube Mill Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring tube mill equipment to produce high-quality tubing products that meet customer specifications. This role ensures efficient production, maintains equipment performance, and upholds safety and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Location: Kenosha, WI
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.50/hour

Duties:

• Set up and operate FMO tube mill equipment to produce metal tubing
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
• Load raw materials (coil/steel) and ensure proper alignment and feeding into the mill
• Perform start-up, in-process, and final inspections of tubing products
• Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications
• Identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary machine adjustments
• Perform basic maintenance and assist with tooling changes, roll changes, and setup
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements
• Keep work area clean and organized (5S standards)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–3 years of experience operating tube mills, roll forming, or similar machinery preferred
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and machine operations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Basic math skills (measurements, fractions, conversions)
• Experience with welding processes (ERW) is a plus

Work Environment & PPE:

• Manufacturing/industrial setting
• Standing for extended periods
• Lifting up to 50 lbs (materials, tooling, etc.)
• Exposure to moving machinery, noise, heat, and metal materials
