Core Dept Lead- 1st Shift
The Core Department Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the core assembly department, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role provides hands-on leadership, supports team members, and drives continuous improvement to optimize efficiency and workflow.
Location: Kenosha, WI
Schedule: Monday - Friday| 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Pay Rate: $24.00/hour
Duties:
- Lead and support core assembly team members during daily operations
- Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure production targets are met
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications
- Train, coach, and mentor employees on processes, safety, and best practices
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate solutions with maintenance and management
- Monitor inventory levels of materials and notify leadership of shortages
- Enforce safety policies, procedures, and proper use of PPE
- Perform quality checks and verify work accuracy
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, process optimization)
- Communicate shift updates, concerns, and performance metrics to leadership
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly (core assembly preferred)
- Previous leadership or lead experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or production systems)
- Strong understanding of safety and quality standards

Work Environment & PPE:
- Manufacturing/production setting

- Lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
- Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
