Fabrication Floater - 2nd Shift

The Fabrication Floater is a versatile team member responsible for supporting various fabrication processes across the department as needed. This role fills in where demand is highest, assisting with machine operation, material handling, and general production tasks while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency on 2nd shift.

Location: Kenosha, WI
Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 1:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Pay Rate: $21.50/hour

Duties:

• Support multiple fabrication areas, including cutting, forming, grinding, and assembly
• Operate basic fabrication equipment (press brake, saws, drills, etc.) as assigned
• Assist machine operators with setup, material loading/unloading, and part handling
• Perform basic inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and instructions
• Maintain production flow by stepping into different roles as needed
• Keep work areas clean and organized (5S standards)
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
• Report equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns to supervisors
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and staging finished products

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ year of manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions
• Basic math skills (measurements, fractions, conversions)
• Willingness to learn multiple processes and adapt to changing tasks

Work Environment & PPE:

• Manufacturing/fabrication setting
• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
• Lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
• Exposure to machinery, noise, metal materials, and varying temperatures
