1st Shift Fabrication General Labor
Midway Staffing is seeking motivated and dependable General Laborers to join our team on the first shift. This versatile position offers the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of our manufacturing and warehouse operations, including assisting with fabrication of water heaters. Location: Decatur, AR
Schedule 5:30 am to 4:00 pm
Pay rate: $11
Duties:
Grinders
Drills
Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences/shortage of staff.

Schedule 5:30 am to 4:00 pm
Pay rate: $11
Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints and manuals with attention to measurements
- Verify specifications of components and the equipment that it is being welded
- Alter dimensions to fit specifications
- Cutting and joining metal parts for fabricating or repair
- Design and create jigs that aid in the fabrication of the parts
- Lay out, position, align, and fit components together
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding
- Work within a high-production pace to maintain product supply for business needs
- Must be able to keep up with all production requirements
- Regular attendance is consistent with the Company Attendance Policy
- Ability to use standard hand tools
- Mechanical aptitude
- Operating Knowledge of:
Grinders
Drills
- Able to communicate and work well with others
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- High School Diploma/GED
Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences/shortage of staff.
Working Conditions:
- Extensive Walking, Standing, and/or Climbing
- Heavy Lifting, Stooping, Bending, Kneeling, and Reaching
- Work in Close Proximity to Machinery with Moving Parts, Moving Objects or Vehicles
- Exposure to Dampness, Humidity, and Cold
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations
- Initiate and maintain proper and necessary safety equipment as prescribed by law
- Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques while performing job duties
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately
