Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Tempe, AZ
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM
Pay Rate: $27/hr

Duties:

• Sampling, testing, plating, reading, and recording product test results
• Ensure that daily records are kept and maintained
• Perform data entry, tracking, and interpretation
• Follow QC hold procedures for out-of-specification products
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Assist in maintaining a 5S rating of “A”
• Be flexible with working hours as needed
• Perform equipment calibration and troubleshooting
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Meet daily with supervisor to review production-related issues
• Monitor all CCP records and frequencies
• Follow up on product concerns and communicate with production teams
• Manage product specifications
• Maintain and implement policies and procedures related to GMPs, food safety, and regulatory compliance
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; 3–5 years of laboratory experience preferred
• Knowledge of microbiological, physical, chemical, and organoleptic testing
• Strong understanding of food safety, GMPs, and regulatory compliance
• Experience with HACCP principles
• Ability to evaluate trends from test results and communicate findings
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Windows-based computer programs
• Experience with lab equipment and maintenance
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Dependable with strong time management skills
