Senior Operator
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced and quality-focused Senior Operator to support production operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for full machine operation, optimization, troubleshooting, and ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who can drive performance and support team development.
Location: North Las Vegas, NV
Department: Production
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $30.00/hr (depending on experience)
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up machines independently with advanced understanding of equipment and safety
- Optimize machine performance and production output
- Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues efficiently
- Ensure print and glue quality meet specifications
- Achieve production targets and maintain operational efficiency
- Train and support junior team members
- Perform packaging tasks while meeting required production speeds
- Complete accurate production records and documentation
- Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet customer specifications
- Verify labeling, packaging, and palletizing accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support waste management processes and housekeeping standards
- Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced production environment
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Strong technical and mechanical understanding of production equipment
- Flexo printing knowledge required
- Advanced understanding of quality control procedures and product specifications
- Knowledge of ink, glue, and paper handling processes
- Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to meet production targets in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift certification preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass a background check and drug screen
- Basic English communication skills required
- 3–5+ years of experience in paper bag manufacturing or flexo production required
