Position: Machine Operator

Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (Based on Experience and Shift)

Available Shifts

Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Job Description

Midway Staffing is seeking dependable and motivated Machine Operators to join a fast-paced bread manufacturing and production facility. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring equipment used in the production of bread products while ensuring quality, safety, and production standards are met.

Machine Operators may be assigned to support various production areas, including mixing, dividing, and packaging (bagger) operations. Candidates should be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, following production schedules, and maintaining consistent product quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor bread production equipment safely and efficiently
• Support mixer, divider, and bagger operations as assigned
• Follow production schedules and recipes to ensure quality standards are met
• Monitor product quality and identify any issues during production
• Perform basic machine adjustments and report equipment concerns to supervisors
• Assist with machine setup, cleaning, and changeovers
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
• Follow all food safety, GMP, quality, and workplace safety requirements
• Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent physical activity throughout the shift, including:

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and twisting
• Ability to lift and move materials as needed
• Working around moving machinery and production equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Comfortable working in warm conditions due to ovens and production equipment

Qualifications

• Previous machine operator, manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or production experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn production equipment
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to food safety and quality standards

Work Environment

• Bread manufacturing and food production facility
• Facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Associates are generally scheduled up to 6 days per week based on production demands
• Weekly schedules are provided by management
• Production areas may be warm due to baking equipment and ovens
• Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and teamwork
