Job Description
Installation Helper
Midway Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Installation Helper to assist with the delivery and installation of built in home appliances for a nationally recognized client. This is a hands on role ideal for candidates with appliance installation experience who enjoy providing excellent customer service and working in customers' homes.
Location: Columbia, MO 65202
Schedule: 6am - route completion: Typically 12 hours a day
Pay Rate: $16.42/hr
Duties:
- Assist with the delivery and installation of refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, microwaves, washers, dryers, and other household appliances.
- Safely use appliance dollies, straps, and basic hand tools during installations.
- Follow manufacturer installation instructions and company procedures.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service in customers' homes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and work area.
- Lift and move heavy appliances safely with assistance and proper equipment.
- Follow all safety policies and operational procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of appliance installation experience.
- Experience using appliance dollies and moving straps.
- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing principles.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and troubleshoot installation issues.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. independently and assist with moving appliances weighing up to 600 lbs. using proper equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
