Material Operator

Midway Staffing is currently seeking skilled Reach Truck and Cherry Picker Operators to join a growing warehouse team in Gurnee, IL. This position requires individuals who are safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working in a high-volume distribution setting.

Location: Gurnee, IL
Schedule: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr 

Important: Candidates must be available to work overtime as needed, including staying until 1:00 AM and working weekends during peak production periods.

Duties:

• Operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supply production lines with materials to support operational needs.
• Move raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Load and unload materials and stage inventory in designated warehouse locations.
• Perform basic machine operation to support production flow.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and complete required documentation.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating both Reach Trucks and Cherry Pickers is required.
• Experience working in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment.
• Ability to work overtime, including extended weekday hours and weekends as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to accurately track inventory and complete required documentation.
• Basic computer and RF scanner experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift, stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift.
• Reliable transportation and attendance required.
