Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay: $70,000 annually (temp-to-hire after 90 days)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join a growing food production company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food and industrial manufacturing, with a minimum of 3 years of experience supervising production operations, managing large teams, and driving efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
This role requires hands-on leadership overseeing approximately 120+ employees across production and shipping departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, optimizing workflow, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining a productive and engaged workforce.

Core Experience & Expertise
Food & Industrial Production Supervision
Extensive hands-on experience overseeing daily operations within food and industrial manufacturing environments. Skilled in coordinating production workflows, managing labor resources, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring consistent product quality and output.
GMP, HACCP, CCP & SQF Compliance
Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Critical Control Points (CCP), and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards. Experienced in maintaining compliance procedures, supporting audits, and ensuring production processes meet food safety and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production and shipping operations
- Lead, train, and manage a team of 120+ employees
- Assign responsibilities, establish priorities, and monitor team performance
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and customer requirements are consistently achieved
- Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, CCP, SQF, and company safety policies
- Promote a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased productivity
- Partner with management and team members to ensure operational alignment
- Support employee development, coaching, and performance management
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of production supervisory experience in food manufacturing, industrial production, or shipping operations
- Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and quality systems
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, CCP, and SQF compliance requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate teams and drive accountability
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working extended production schedules
