Record Center Specialist

Midway Staffing is hiring Record Center Specialists for a physically demanding warehouse position in South Gate, CA. This role involves processing orders and moving, arranging, lifting, and loading storage boxes, bins, totes, and other materials. Candidates must be comfortable performing physical tasks throughout the shift and handling boxes weighing up to 100 lbs.

Location: South Gate, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.50/hour

Duties:

• Move, arrange, lift, carry, and load boxes, bins, totes, and other materials.
• Process incoming and outgoing orders and read product and box labels.
• Use handheld scanners and a proprietary computer system to track orders and locate boxes.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Load and shrink-wrap pallets and manually load boxes onto pallets and trucks.
• Maintain safe and organized work areas while following all required safety procedures.
• Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, bend, crawl, and twist for extended periods.
• Safely move materials across concrete and uneven surfaces, inclines, stairs, and changes in elevation.

Requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift and carry boxes weighing 10–100 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to perform frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, stooping, and standing throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to read and write English and accurately read labels and process orders.
• Ability to climb and balance on ladders as required.
• Ability to work independently and complete physical tasks safely and efficiently.
• Protective footwear is required and must meet ASTM F2413-11 safety-toe standards with a slip-resistant rating designated as “Better” or “Best.”
