Assistant Warehouse Manager

Midway Staffing is seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to support daily warehouse operations in Columbus, OH. This hands-on leadership position will assist with warehouse workflows, cabinet assembly, quality control, receiving, order staging, deliveries, and team coordination while maintaining high standards for safety and productivity.

Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Annual Salary Range: Starting at $50,000 

Duties:

• Assist the Warehouse Manager with planning and directing daily warehouse operations, workflows, and team tasks.
• Lead and monitor cabinet assembly teams to meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and craftsmanship.
• Perform quality checks on assembled cabinetry, update order statuses, and ensure orders are accurately prepared and staged.
• Receive and organize incoming inventory, safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and assist with loading delivery trucks and customer pickups.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Sales teams regarding delivery schedules and order readiness.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment and help train new associates on assembly, inventory procedures, and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse operations or logistics experience; previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience with cabinetry, woodworking, furniture assembly, or similar work is a plus.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and warehouse management or inventory systems.
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs. and stand/walk on concrete floors for a minimum of 8 hours per shift.
• Ability or willingness to become certified to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly valued.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing warehouse environment.
