Production Sanitation Associate

Are you dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment? Midway Staffing is hiring Production Sanitation Associates in Hayward, CA. This position involves pizza dough production, operating and monitoring production equipment, tray washing, sanitation, and physically demanding work in a refrigerated production environment.

Location: Hayward, CA 94544
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday
Hours: 12:00 AM–8:30 AM
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Start Date: October 5, 2026

Duties

• Participate in the processing and manufacturing of pizza dough.
• Rotate between production positions, including dough maker, dough placer, tray washer, and cross/down stacker.
• Gather, measure, and mix ingredients according to the correct batch recipe.
• Monitor dough production, temperatures, proofing, and metal detector checks.
• Record batch information and maintain required production documentation.
• Operate and monitor automated production equipment using HMI interfaces.
• Troubleshoot equipment such as stackers, dolly loaders, and tray buffers as needed.
• Organize and stage dough products for shipment.
• Load trays onto conveyors for cleaning and sanitation.
• Monitor water pressure, temperature, and detergent levels in the tray wash area.
• Perform chemical testing and titration on tray-washing equipment when required.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas.
• Report equipment or production irregularities to supervisors or management.
• Perform additional production, warehouse, or sanitation duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be comfortable working with yeast and flour products.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to climb stairs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 30 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50–55 lbs.
• Comfortable with heavy pushing and pulling of products.
• Must be comfortable working in refrigerated conditions of approximately 33–38°F.
• Comfortable working around loud machinery.
• Must follow all food-production, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Must be available for the required overnight schedule.
