MACHINE OPERATOR – 3RD SHIFT

Location: West Chicago, IL
Pay: $22.00/hr
Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Overtime: Mandatory overtime may be required during the week and/or weekends

We are hiring Machine Operators for a fast-paced food manufacturing facility in West Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring packaging equipment while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate ROPAK and associated packaging equipment

• Adjust machine settings to produce quality pouches, cartons, and cases according to specifications

• Monitor equipment and identify quality, production, or safety issues

• Communicate equipment or production concerns to supervisors, leads, and mechanics

• Change packaging materials as needed

• Read and understand production schedules and product specifications

• Complete required production paperwork accurately

• Perform basic math, including percentages, and use scales and calculators

• Follow all GMP, food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures

• Maintain machines and work areas clean and free of safety hazards

• Troubleshoot basic production issues and take appropriate corrective action

Requirements

• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred

• Must successfully complete the ROPAK selection test

• Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills

• Ability to identify product quality and safety issues

• Basic math and reading skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Must be able to stand for 8+ hours

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently

• Must be comfortable with reaching, lifting, repetitive movement, odors, and dust

• Must be available for mandatory overtime, including weekends when required

• Dependable attendance and ability to follow GMP and safety requirements

$22.00 PER HOUR
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
