Job Description
We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our receiving department. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience and be comfortable unloading incoming shipments, moving and organizing materials, and ensuring products are delivered to the correct warehouse locations. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while following all safety procedures and supporting daily receiving operations.
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00 hr
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down propane forklift safely to unload incoming trucks and trailers.
- Receive, move, and transport materials to designated warehouse locations.
- Verify incoming shipments against receiving documents and packing lists.
- Inspect materials for visible damage and report any discrepancies.
- Load, unload, and stage pallets and materials as needed.
- Assist with organizing inventory and maintaining accurate material placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.
- Work closely with the receiving team to ensure materials are processed efficiently.
Requirements
- Previous sit-down forklift experience required.
- Experience operating a propane-powered forklift preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull materials as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
