Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Job Summary: We are currently hiring a Sit-Down Forklift Operator for our facility in Grand Prairie, TX. This position is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to transport, move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse and production areas. The ideal candidate must be reliable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and willing to assist with general warehouse and production tasks as needed.

Job Title: Sit-Down Forklift Operator
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, transport, and stage materials throughout the facility.

• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and designated storage areas as needed.

• Stack, organize, and store materials safely and efficiently.

• Assist with inventory movement and ensure materials are delivered to the correct production or warehouse areas.

• Inspect the forklift before use and report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns.

• Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Assist with general warehouse and production duties as needed, including cross-training in other departments.

Requirements

• Previous sit-down forklift operating experience preferred.

• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently in a warehouse or production environment.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed.

• Willingness to assist with other warehouse and production tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

• Resume required; candidates with up to one year of experience may be considered.

• Interview required.

Screening Requirements

• Employment Verification (EV).

• 7-year background check.

• 10-panel drug test, with results typically available within hours.

Dress Code

• Standard warehouse attire.

• Closed-toe shoes required.

• Required personal protective equipment (PPE) provided on-site.
