Battery Technician – 1st Shift

Midway Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Battery Technician for an opportunity in Conyers, GA. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience using hand and power tools, basic mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential for this position. This role involves inspecting, testing, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling electric vehicle (EV) batteries in a manufacturing environment.

Location: Conyers, GA 30013

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Pay rate: $22.00 per hour

Duties:

• Disassemble and reassemble EV batteries and battery packs using hand and power tools.

• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot battery components, electrical connections, and wiring.

• Perform basic diagnostics to identify battery failures and defective components.

• Replace faulty components and assist with battery repairs and refurbishment.

• Safely handle and contain battery fluids according to company procedures.

• Clean, sort, package, and prepare battery components for shipping.

• Use electrical testing equipment to verify battery performance and functionality.

• Maintain accurate maintenance and production records using computer systems.

• Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and PPE requirements.

• Perform additional production and warehouse duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Up to 2 years of experience in a related manufacturing, automotive, or technical environment.

• Must have hands-on experience operating hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Must demonstrate excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability. Regular and consistent attendance is a key requirement for this position.

• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.

• Basic computer skills, including data entry and email communication.

• Ability to read and follow written operating instructions.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workplace safety.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the shift.

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment that may not be climate-controlled.

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

• Previous experience with EV batteries, automotive repair, or electrical testing is preferred.

• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, safety vest, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
