Material Handler / Sit-Down Propane Forklift Operator
Job Summary:
Seeking dependable and hardworking Material Handlers / Sit-Down Propane Forklift Operators to support warehouse and production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This opportunity offers consistent scheduling and the ability to grow within a team-oriented setting. This role is responsible for operating forklifts safely, loading and unloading trucks, staging materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
Schedule Available:
- Day Shift (A Crew): Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Night Shift (B Crew): 2-2-3 Schedule | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Pay Rate:
$20.00 – $22.00/hr depending on experience
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a sit-down propane forklift throughout the facility
- Load and unload trucks while staging and organizing materials
- Transfer materials between warehouse and production areas
- Maintain accurate inventory and follow FIFO procedures
- Scan, track, and organize inventory as needed
- Prepare finished products for shipment
- Maintain productivity standards and workflow efficiency
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet daily goals
- Support additional warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum 1 year of sit-down propane forklift experience required
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse or inventory control experience preferred
- Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory software (SAP experience is a plus)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to complete an onsite interview and forklift test
Work Environment:
- Exposure to moving warehouse equipment and machinery
- Warehouse temperatures may exceed 90°F with high humidity
- Noise levels may exceed 85dB
- PPE required in designated areas
- Overtime may be required based on business demands
