Job Description
Quality Assurance Associate
Pay: Up to $22/hour
Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks. Overtime may be required based on production demands, with up to 10 extra hours weekly.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a refrigerated warehouse environment. Proper cold-weather attire and steel toe boots are required at all times.
Interview Process:
Interviews will be conducted onsite.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional to support daily warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods to ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer expectations.
Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse setting where schedules may extend until production goals are completed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality inspections on incoming materials and finished products
- Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify product defects or specification issues and communicate concerns to leadership
- Verify product measurements, temperatures, weights, and visual appearance
- Support shipping accuracy by confirming product specifications before customer orders are released
- Work closely with warehouse and production teams to resolve quality concerns
- Utilize scan guns, tablets/iPads, and basic computer systems throughout the shift
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of Quality Assurance experience required
- Food manufacturing or food distribution background preferred
- Experience in another QA-related industry will also be considered
- Strong attendance and punctuality required
- Ability to remain past scheduled hours when operational needs require
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Comfortable performing basic math calculations
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
- Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and working in varying warehouse temperatures
